Abstract:
Provided is an exhaust gas processing device constructed so as to have a tubular shell (10), into which exhaust gas is introduced, and a flow path pipe (16), arranged so as to pass through the tubular shell (10), with one end of the flow path pipe (16) connected to the exhaust flow path of an internal combustion engine, and the exhaust gas flowing in that exhaust flow path being introduced into the tubular shell (10) via the flow path pipe (16). In addition, a pair of through-holes (22, 24) are formed in the pipe wall of the tubular shell (10) for the purpose of arranging the flow path pipe (16), a cover member (30) capable of obstructing one of the through-holes (22, 24) is welded to the other end of the flow path pipe (16) so as to obstruct the aperture at the other end of the flow path pipe (16), and the cover member (30) is welded to the pipe wall of the tubular shell (10) such that one of the through-holes (22, 24) is obstructed by the cover member (30).
