Abstract:
Disclosed is an exhaust purification device for a homogeneous charge compression ignition internal combustion engine, which comprises: an adsorption part (51) that adsorbs hydrocarbon contained in the exhaust at temperatures below a release temperature and releases the adsorbed hydrocarbon at temperatures not less than the release temperature; and an oxidation part (52) that oxidizes the hydrocarbon released from the adsorption part (51). The adsorption part (51) contains beta zeolite that is caused to support silver by ion exchange and/or ZSM-5 that is caused to support silver by ion exchange.
