Abstract:

An expandable composition for filling use which comprises an expandable polymer, a blowing agent and a basic oxide wherein the composition contains the basic oxide in an amount of 0.05 to 70 parts by weight relative to 100 parts by weight of the blowing agent; an expandable member for filling use to be attached in the interior space of a hollow member which comprises the expandable composition for filling use and a member for attaching; and an expanded article for filling use which is manufactured by attaching the expandable member for filling use in the interior space of a hollow member and expanding the expandable composition by heating. The above expandable composition for filling use is excellent in rust resistance and is reduced in the lowering of the expansion ratio even when unnecessary parts or defective pieces thereof are reused.
