Abstract:
A method for producing expanded polypropylene-based-resin particles (1) each having a through-hole (11), by conducting a first-stage expansion step and a second-stage expansion step. In the first-stage expansion step, cylindrical resin particles containing carbon black and each having a though-hole are dispersed in a dispersion medium and the dispersion is discharged into a low-pressure atmosphere to expand the particles, thereby obtaining first-stage-expanded particles having a bulk expansion ratio of M1. In the second-stage expansion step, the first-stage-expanded particles are further expanded to obtain expanded polypropylene-based-resin particles having a bulk expansion ratio of M2. The bulk expansion ratio M1 is 5 to 25. The ratio of the bulk expansion ratio M2 to the bulk expansion ratio M1, M2/M1, is 1.2-3.0.
