Abstract:
Provided is a testing apparatus that can be installed in a compact manner, said testing apparatus comprising with an extensible device that can efficaciously extend and retract the spacing gap in a universal joint. The present invention is an excitation device in which an actuator (10) that is between cruciform joints (11, 13) connected to a base (101) and a support pedestal (103) rotates a nut (41) to cause a ball screw shaft (17) to slide forward or in reverse so that excitation is performed, wherein the excitation device comprises a rectangular plate (20) that swings about an X-axis (21) and a Y-axis (23) between the base side and the actuator side of the excitation device, a space (25) is open on the inner side of the rectangular plate (20) so as to accommodate an end portion of the ball screw shaft without restricting movement thereof.
