Abstract:
An external mechanism 10 for an endoscope is equipped with: a curved wheel 41 which engages a second UD knob 3g of a second curve operation device 3b provided in an operation part 3 of an endoscope 1; a motor unit 30 for generating drive force for rotating the curved wheel 41; a storage case 11 which stores the curved wheel 41 and the motor unit 30, and is detachably mounted to the operation part 3; an operation switch 60 which outputs a control signal to the motor unit 30 by operation of an operation element 70, and is positioned on the exterior of the storage case 11; and a cover 80 which is formed from a flexible material and covers the operation element 70 of the operation switch 60.
