Abstract:
An eye tracking method and a terminal for performing same are disclosed. A terminal according to an embodiment of the present invention is a terminal for eye tracking on the basis of a first eye tracking model in which a plurality of learning data related to gaze information has been accumulated, the terminal comprising: a data collecting unit for acquiring a face image of a user by using an image capturing device, and extracting gaze information of the user from the face image; a data transmitting unit for transmitting, to a server, the gaze information of the user and position information of a point within a screen of the terminal, toward which the user's gaze is directed; a model receiving unit for receiving, from the server, a second eye tracking model obtained by learning the gaze information of the user and the position information in addition to the first eye tracking model; and an eye tracking unit for tracking the user's gaze by using the second eye tracking model.
