Abstract:

A stable image can be insured in a distance section and a reading section, and blurring, ghost or the like of an image can be prevented to produce a clear image. A progressive power bifocal contact lens (10) comprising, in a lens optical region (11), a distance section (12) for assisting in distant viewing, a reading section (13) for assisting in near viewing, and an intermediate section (14) provided between the distant section and the reading section to have its power progressively changed, wherein the power distribution of a lens optical region (11) along the longitudinal axis N direction of the lens optical region is set according to the expression (1). PowerDist = P-Power + [(Max-Add)/&pgr ]&lcub tan^-1[Wave/Bnf·x - Wave] + tan^-1(Wave)&rcub ----- (1) Where, PowerDist: power distribution, P-Power: power at upper end point A, Max-Add: difference in power between upper point end A and lower end point B, Bnf: distance from upper end point A to the boundary between distance power of distance section and the reading power of reading section, Wave: power change factor, x: distance from upper end point A.
