Title:
EYEGLASSES TEMPLE CONNECTING STRUCTURE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2000/036455
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A structure for hinge-coupling an eyeglasses temple (10) through a spring (21) to a lens side stationary portion (14) such as a front frame. Mounted on the lens side stationary portion is a cylinder block (15) which has a cylindrical space (16) therein and an opening (19) that is made by cutting a part of a circumferential wall surface defining the cylindrical space (16). The spring (21) is a wire-like spring with one end set free, which passes through the cylindrical space at a portion where it extends overlapping the opening of the cylinder block. Inserted into the cylindrical space of the cylinder block is a rotatable pin (17) from which the temple (10) extends. The pin has its outer circumferential surface formed with a first groove (22) and a second groove (23) with which the wire-like spring engages at a first rotary position and a second rotary position, respectively. When the pin is at the first rotary position, the temple is at an open position. When the pin is at the second rotary position, the temple is at a closed position.
