Abstract:
Provided is a fabric pest repelling composition achieving a pest proofing function while being capable of removing unpleasant odors attached to clothes in a sustained manner. In this fabric pest repelling composition containing a pest repelling component and an aroma component, the aroma component has a deodorization function of removing unpleasant odors that have attached to clothes, and the pest repelling component has a sustaining function that causes the deodorization function of the aroma component to be sustained. The pest repelling component is at least one component selected from the group consisting of 3-(N-butylacetamide)ethyl propionate, icaridin, and N,N-diethyltoluamide, and the aroma component is a compound having carbon atoms, hydrogen atoms, and oxygen atoms, having no sulfur atoms, no nitrogen atoms, and no halogen atoms, whereof the molecular weight is 98 to 270 and the number of carbons is 6 to 18, and having no electron conjugated moieties other than the electron conjugated moieties derived from a benzene ring, a benzoate ester structure, or a salicylate ester structure.
