Abstract:
A fabrication assistance information generation method for assisting with the generation of fabrication assistance information including information regarding flaws that occur in a fabricated item formed by additive manufacturing acquires a shape model of the fabricated item and a stress analysis condition of stress that acts on the fabricated item, performs a stress analysis on the basis of the shape model and the stress analysis condition, calculates the limits of size of flaws for each location in the shape model in accordance with the results of the stress analysis, and generates fabrication assistance information that includes a distribution image showing the distribution of the limits of size in a specific region of the shape model.
