Abstract:
Fore-window, integrated with window, consists of three components: window, supporting frame of fore-window and sliding screen. Frame of fore-window (2) is mounted on the wall (3) infront of window (13). Within the frame of fore-window (2) sliding screen of fore-window (1) is moving, visable on the wall (3) or on the wall (3) hidden under facade cladding (6) left - right on lower guide (4a) and upper guide (4b). Sliding screen offore-window (1) consists of sliding screen's frame (7) and of sliding screen's filler (8), which can be light permeable or light impermeable. Sliding screen's filler (8) in the light permeable version consists of outer glass (17) and from both sides low-emissivity coated inner glass (18), between those a transparent foil (20) and from inner side metalized foil (21) are being fixed by spacers (19). In "closed" position, beside within sliding screen (8) permanently closed chambers (23a, 23b, 23c), an additional closed chamber (23d) is being formed between the inner glass of sliding screen (18) and outer glass of window (24).

Claims:
PATENT CLAIMS

1. Facade - window sliding screen for additional thermal insulation of windows respectively fore- window, integrated with window characterised by, that the frame of fore- window ( 2 ) is mounted on the wall ( 3 ) in front of the window ( 13 ) and that within the frame of fore-window ( 2 ) on lower guides ( 4a ) and upper guides ( 4b ), visible on the wall ( 3 ) or on the wall ( 3 ) hidden under the facade cladding ( 6 ), sliding screen of forewindow ( 1 ) is moving, which can be partly light permeable and in this case consisting of several light permeable layers ( 9 ) in certain dictance ( 10 ) from each other or is light impermeable, consisting of one light impermeable layer ( 11 ) or several light impermeable layers ( 12 ).

Facade - window sliding screen for additional thermal insulation of windows respectively fore- window, integrated with window, according to the claim. 1, characterised by, that the sliding screen of fore- window ( 1 ) is consisting of frame of the sliding screen ( 7 ) and filler of the sliding screen ( 8 ), which in light permeable version consists of outer glass ( 17 ), from both sides low emissivity coated inner glass ( 18 ), in between them a transparent foil (20 ) and from inner side metalized foil ( 21 ) are being fixed by spacers ( 19 )

3. Facade - window sliding screen for additional thermal insulation of windows respectively fore-window, integrated with window, according to the claim. 1 , characterised by, that the sliding screen of fore-window ( 1 ) is consisting of frame of the sliding screen ( 7 ) and filler of the sliding screen ( 8 ), which in light impermeable version consists of outer glass ( 17 ), low emissivity coated inner glass (26 ) and inbetween them light impermeable thermal insulation material ( 25 ).

4. Facade - window sliding screen for additional thermal insulation of windows respectively fore- window, integrated with window, according to the claim. 1, characterised by, that in „closed“ position of light permeable version beside within the filler of sliding screen ( 8 ) permanently formed chambers ( 23a, 23b, 23c ) an additional temporarely closed chamber ( 23d ) between inner glass of sliding screen ( 18 ) and outer glass of window ( 24 ) is being formed.

5. Facade - window sliding screen for additional thermal insulation of windows respectively fore- window, integrated with window, according to the claim. 1, characterised by, that in „closed“ position of light impermeable version a closed chamber ( 23d ) is being formed between the inner glass of sliding screen ( 26 ) and outer glass of window ( 24 ).

Description:
Facade-window sliding screen for additional thermal insulation of windows respectively fore-window, integrated with window

Subject of the invention is being linked to patent application P 201400044 dated 05.02.2014 and is defining more precisely the facade-window shiftable daylight permeable screen, its movements in the sliding version and at the same time defines more precisely the connection with the window.

Subject of the invention is fore- window, a facade - window sliding screen, integrated with the window, intended for improvement of thermal insulation of building’s envelope on surfaces where windows and glass doors are being installed.

Technical problem which is being solved by this invention is a system which will enable substantial improvements of thermal insulation of facade areas where windows and glass doors are being built in, areas which are allways the weekest point of building envelope of every building.

This invention is fore-window, which integrated with the window in the „closed position 44 enables U< 0,29 W/m2K when permitting part of the daylight to come through and even U< 0,25 W/m2K in case when no daylight is being let through, while in the „open position with the window between Uw = 0,9 and 1,1 W/m2K enables sun energy to enter, when this is suitable and desired.

Fore-window can be built in :

- On the wall / facade so that the screen is being shifted on the facade and is visible in all positions

- Under the facade cladding so that the screen is hidden within the thermal insulation layer and is visible only when it covers totally or partly the window

State of technics today enables thermal insulation of windows / glass doors, depending on materials and models, in the best cases around Uw= 0,60 W/m2K. As very well insulated windows „passive“ windows with Uw between Uw = 0,7 W/m2K and Uw = 0,8 W/m2K are being considered, while windows with Uw between Uw = 0,9 W/m2K and Uw = 1,1 W/m2K are regarded as windows with solid thermal insulation. Legal limit in Slovenia for installations in new residential buildings and for refurmishment is Uw = 1,3 W/m2K.

For additional thermal insulation of windows there are different shades like roller blinds, screen shades, shutters etc. available. These are all in the first place shades, designed for reducing the entrance of sunbeams in the summer and are in this way improvement of thermal insulation of windows in the summer months. The applied invention is characterized by :

1. Fore-window, integrated with window, consists of three components : a) Window with U value as a rule between Uw = 0,9 and Uw = 1,1 W/m2K b) Supporting frame of fore- window, as a rule made of wood or being composed of different materials c) Sliding screen of fore-window with exceptional thermal insulation, which is partly daylight permeable or daylight impermeable

2. Window must be built into a window opening on the wall, where the wall has both on the surface and in depth excellent and possibly even thermal insulation, so that no thermal bridges can occure. The frame of fore-window can be built-in on the facade or under the facade cladding and is in this case hidden under the facade cladding.

3. Sliding screen of fore- window and frame of fore- window are being sealed, so that between the sliding screen, the frame of fore-window and the window an „air pocket“ is being created in the „closed“ position.

4. Sliding screen is being moved on the guides of fore- window’s frame, which is being fixed onto the facade or on the wall under the facade cladding. Movements are as a rule left - right, but can also be up - down.

5. The sliding screen can be shifted manually or by adjusted electromechanism : a) on the facade, so that it is allways visible ( it covers fully or partly the window or is entirely on the facade and does not cover the window at all ). b) hidden under the facade cladding and is visible only when it fully or partly covers the window.

The invention will be described in details in 7 figures, showing separate construction parts of facade-window sliding screen / fore-window, integrated with window, and movements of sliding screen of fore-window within the frame of fore- window

Sliding screen of fore- window 1, which has exceptionally good thermal insulation and can be partly light permeable or light impermeable, is being clamped into the frame of fore-window 2, which is fixed to the wall 3. Sliding screen of fore- window 1 moves within the frame of fore-window 2 on the lower guides 4a and upper guides 4b left or right, so that in position A covers the window opening 5 entirely, in position B partly covers the window opening 5 and partly the wall 3, while in position C covers wall 3 within the frame of fore-window 2 and does not cover the window opening 5 at all.

Sliding screen of fore-window 1 moves within the frame of fore-window 2 under the facade cladding 6 left and right. In position A sliding screen of fore-window 1 is fully visable and covers the entire window opening 5, in position B sliding screen of fore-window 1 is partly visable and covers part of the window opening 5, partly it is hidden behind the facade cladding 6. In position C sliding screen of fore-window 1 is fully hidden behind the facade cladding 6, while window opening is fully uncovered.

Sliding screen of fore-window 1 consists of sliding screen's frame 7 and of thermal insulation filler 8, which can be partly light permeable, or is light impermeable. Thermal insulation filler 8 is clamped into the sliding screen's frame 7. If the thermal insulation filler 8 is light permeable, it consists of several thin, fully or partly light permeable layers 9, which can be glass or foil or similar and are being built in at a certain distance from each other 10. In case the filler is light impermeable, the filler with high thermal insulation consists of one layer 11 or of several layers 12. If necessary can the filler 8 be changed from light impermeable into partly light permeable by removing part of thermal insulation filler in several points 1 la or in stripes lib.

Window 13 is mounted into the window opening 5 on the outer rand of the wall 3 or next to it. Frame of fore-window 2 is mounted onto the wall 3 so that the sliding screen of fore-window 1 in the „closed“ position fully covers the window, while frame of fore- window 2 reaches at least a few cm over the frame of window 14 both left and right as well as up and down.

Window 13 is mounted into the window opening 5 on the outer rand of the wall 3 or next to it. Frame of fore-window 2 is mounted onto the wall 3 so that the sliding screen of fore-window 1 in the „closed“ position fully covers the window, while frame of fore- window 2 is built in hidden under the facade thermal insulation layer 15, reaching at least a few cm over the frame of window 14 both left and right as well as up and down.

Fore-window 16 is fixed in front of the window 13, larger part on the wall 3 and minor part on the window frame 14. Within the frame of fore- window 2, frame of sliding screen 7 with built in filler of sliding screen 8 is being moved on lower guides 4a and upper guides 4b.

In case of light permeable screen, sliding screen's filler 8 consists of outer glass 17 and of from both sides low-emissivity coated inner glass 18, between them transparent foil 20 and from inner side metalized foil 21 are being fixed by spacers 19.

In „closed“ position sealing of fore-window frame 2 and sliding screen's frame 7, is ensured by different seals 22. In this position there are 4 closed chambers : beside three chambers 23a, 23b and 23c, which are being permanently formed within the filler of the sliding screen's filler 8, also the chamber 23d, which is being formed between the inner glass of the sliding screen 18 and outer glass of window 24, only temporarely in „closed“ position.

In case of light impermeable fore- window, sliding screen's filler 8 consists of light impermeable thermal insulation material 25, outer glass 17 and from one side low-emissivity coated inner glass 26. In „closed“ position an additional closed chamber 23d is being formed between the inner glass of fore-window 26 and outer glass of window 24, improving thermal insulation when closed.
