Abstract:
In the present invention, a processing unit uses a logical configuration obtained by virtualizing a plurality of hardware pieces appropriately, and the processing unit ascertains a failure of the logical configuration. A failure notification system 5 comprises: a logical configuration provision unit 2 that provides a logical configuration obtained by virtualizing a plurality of hardware pieces; a processing unit 3 that uses the logical configuration provided from the logical configuration provision unit 2; and a failure notification unit 1 that notifies the processing unit 3 of a failure of the logical configuration provision unit 2. A notification unit 23 comprises: a storage device 10 that stores hardware configuration data 11 in which a hardware identifier is associated with an identifier of a logical configuration corresponding to the hardware; a logical configuration identification unit 22 that, upon detection of a hardware failure, identifies from the hardware configuration data a logical configuration corresponding to the hardware for which a failure was detected; and a notification unit 23 that notifies the processing unit 3 that a failure has occurred in the logical configuration identified by the logical configuration identification unit 22.
