Abstract:
A fake fingernail embedded with gem, gem mounting structure, and process for
manufacturing a fake fingernail embedded with gem, ensuring fixing of gems onto
a base material with an adhesive without losing of their brilliance. Fake fingernail
(N1) has platy base material (1). The base material (1) is embedded with diamond
(2). The base material (1) has a thickness nearly equal to that of pavilion (20)
of the diamond (2). The base material (1) is provided with mounting hole (10) for
fitting of the diamond (2). The mounting hole (10) is formed in such a fashion that
girdle (21) of the diamond (2) slightly hooks on the edge thereof. The mounting
hole (10) is filled with adhesive (3) in advance, and before solidification of
the adhesive (3), the diamond (2) is fitted from above therein. As the adhesive
(3), use is made of one which can remain transparent and colorless even after hardening.
Thus, the diamond (2) is fixed onto the base material (1) with the surface of the
pavilion (20) bonded with the adhesive (3).
