Abstract:
A fan unit connected to a duct, wherein it is possible to detect airflow volume without installing a sensor in the duct. An airflow volume detection unit (50) has a main body unit (52) and a probe (51) for detecting an airflow volume equivalent, which corresponds to the airflow volume of a centrifugal fan. The surface of a first bellmouth (41) has a shape which forms a curved line, the convexity of which is oriented toward a rotational axis (34) when viewing a cross-section obtained by cutting along a plane which contains the rotational axis (34). The main body section (52) is secured to a fan casing (31) and/or to the first bellmouth (41). The probe (51) is positioned in the direction in which the surface of the first bellmouth (41) projects and along a normal to the surface of the first bellmouth (41), and there is a gap between the probe and the surface of the first bellmouth (41) which is greater than 0 and less than 1/3 the radius of the air intake port.
