Abstract:
Provided is a fare information provision system that has: a ticket gate, disposed at an entry station, for storing entry station information; a ticket gate, disposed at an exit station, for storing exit station information and fare device information; a plurality of fare devices established for each exit station or for each ticket gate disposed at an exit station; and, a boarding and alighting management device connected via a network to the ticket gate disposed at the entry station, the ticket gate disposed at the exit station, and the plurality of fare devices. The boarding and alighting management device receives the entry station information from the ticket gate disposed at the entry station, receives the exit station information and the fare device information from the ticket gate disposed at the exit station, selects one fare device from the plurality of fare devices on the basis of the received fare device information, transmits the entry station information and the exit station information to the selected one fare device, and receives fare information from the selected one fare device.
