Abstract:
The present invention relates to a stainless-steel alloy fastener element 11. The present application discloses a stainless-steel alloy fastener element 11 that has an external appearance with the inherent color of a stainless-steel alloy material and a high degree of gloss, such external appearance being achieved not only by simply improving the smoothness of the surface by barrel polishing but by reducing the degree of blackening due to adhesion of organic matter and the like. Specifically, the invention presents a fastener element obtained by: evaluating the degree of gloss of a fastener element on the basis of the number of dark spots of organic matter from among dark spots of organic matter observed in a backscattered electron (BSE) image from an scanning electron microscope (SEM) image of a side surface of a fastener element 11, the dark spots of organic matter being observed in a head section 23 or a middle section 25 of the fastener element 11 and being of sizes with a length of a prescribed value or greater; and manufacturing same under barrel polishing conditions that are appropriate on the basis of the evaluation.
