Abstract:

A fastener stringer (50) has: a fastener tape (10) having a core cord (16) provided at a tape side edge (15) of the fastener tape (10); fastener elements (20) affixed to the tape side edge (15); and metallic stoppers (30, 30s) affixed to the core cord (16) at positions adjacent to the fastener element (20). The stopper (30, 30s) is provided with a first outer surface (31) and a second outer surface (32), which face opposite each other with the core cord (16) therebetween. A first end (38e) of the stopper (30, 30s) in the direction along the core cord (16) is provided with: a first sloped surface (41) extending along the core cord (16) up to an outer peripheral edge of the first outer surface (31); and a second sloped surface (42) extending along the core cord (16) up to an outer peripheral edge of a second outer surface (32). The thickness (TH38) of the first end (38e) of the stopper (30, 30s) to which the first sloped surface (41) and the second sloped surface (42) are provided is less than the thickness (TH39) of the portion (39) of the stopper (30, 30s), which excludes the first end (38e).
