Abstract:
This fastening device comprises: a shaft that has a longitudinal axis; a fixing member that is configured to fix the shaft to an endoscope by mounting the shaft to the endoscope; a stapling unit that is attached to the distal end of the shaft and is able to rotate about the longitudinal axis; an operating unit that is provided at the proximal end of the shaft; and a rotation restricting mechanism that is configured to restrict the rotation of the stapling unit about the longitudinal axis with respect to the endoscope, by means of an operation of the operating unit.
