Abstract:

Provided is a fastening member for appropriately ensuring the strength of the peripheral edge portion of a tapered-cylindrical-body-shaped-portion and which appropriately reduces external dimensions. A fastening member such as a bolt, a nut, or a washer employed when fastening a body by using a screw tightening action; said fastening member being provided with a tapered-cylindrical-body-shaped-portion (12) formed in a cylindrical body shape with a gradually increasing diameter toward a seating surface (13) provided in a circular-planar-band-ring-shape concentric with the axis so as to press against the body being fastened, wherein the taper angle of the tapered-cylindrical-body-shaped-portion (12) is provided forming an acute angle, and an upright surface (12c) is provided erected vertically from the body being fastened, on the outer peripheral surface of the tapered-cylindrical-body-shaped-portion (12), so that the outer diameter of the circular-planar-band-ring-shaped seating surface (13) has a size in a range for creating a surface pressure from the seating surface (13) so as to effectively press against the body being fastened.
