Description:
FASTENING OF WRISTWATCH

DESCRIPTION

The present invention refers to a wristwatch with high flexibility in use.

Several connection systems exist of a watchband with the case of a wristwatch, all extremely efficient but sometimes impractical for the user having to replace and regulate the watchband, as well as unable to make precious also the esthetic value of the watch in order that this can be utilized indifferently in combination with a casual, sport or classic wear.

Technical task of the present invention is therefore to realize a wristwatch which permits to eliminate the technical drawbacks lamented in the known art.

Within this technical task an aim of the invention is to realize a wristwatch with a replaceable and adjustable watchband in an extremely practical way.

Another aim of the invention is to realize a wristwatch in which the parts having the technical function of connecting the watchband with the case will also determine a particular aesthetic global value for the watch.

Not a last aim of the invention is to realize a wristwatch which can be easily customized through suitable accessories for increasing its utilization field.

The technical task, and also these and other aims according to the invention are reached by realizing a wristwatch characterized in that at least a portion of the watchband made of an elastically yieldable material presents, for a removable connection with the case of the watch, a closed slot so configured that it circumscribes the lateral peripheral surface of the case of the watch.

Along the peripheral lateral surface of the case of the watch a groove is provided, along which said slot joints itself.

The slot has an outlet able to receive and handle the regulation crown of the watch.

The watchband has, peripherally about said outlet of said slot, at least a stiffening core able to stabilize the engagement configuration of the slot around the case.

The regulation crown of the watch protrudes from the case in the direction of the hands of the watch indicating twelve hours.

The watchband has a first arm made of an elastically yieldable material, in which said portion is integrally made having said slot, a second arm made of an elastically yieldable material, and a buckle joining adjacent edges of the first and the second arm of watchband.

The slot has, at the points from which said outlet is originated, a support shoulder against the portion of the lateral surface of the outer case of said groove able to stabilize the engagement configuration of the slot around the case.

The watchband has a buckle for joining the first and the second edges of watchband, said buckle comprising a shaped plate with a first box-like portion for retaining at its inside a first edge of watchband by means of first pin supported by said plate internally within said first box-like portion and inserted in a transversal hole of the first edge of watchband, a second box-like portion of watchband for retaining internally a second edge of the watchband through a second pin supported by said plate internally within said second box-like portion and inserted in a transversal hole of the second edge of the watchband .

The watchband has a plurality of said transversal holes separated by lines of facilitated cut for its customized cut.

In a possible constructive variation the watchband has at least a first piece comprising the slot engaging with the case, and one or more further customization pieces removably associated to the first piece in order to complete the arms themselves of the watchband or to form new accessories .

Further characteristics and advantages will be more evident from the description of a preferred but non exclusive embodiment of the wristwatch according to the invention, which are illustrated in an indicative and non limitative way in the annexed drawings, in which: figures 1, 2 and 3 show a perspective side elevation and plan view of the watch according to the invention; figure 4 shows a perspective view of the watch of figure 1 with the slot removed from the case; figure 5 shows a side elevation partially sectioned view of the wristwatch of figure 1.

With reference to cited figures, a wristwatch is shown globally indicated with reference number 1.

The wristwatch comprises a case 2 with dial ' (not illustrated for convenience) and a watchband 4.

At least a portion of the watchband 4 made of an elastically yieldable material has, for a removable connection with the case 2, a closed slot 5 so configured, that it circumscribes the peripheral side surface 6 of the case 2.

The case 2 being cylindrical, the slot 5 has the shape of a circular ring with such an internal diameter, to engage along the peripheral cylindrical side surface 6 of the case 2.

Naturally, if the shape of the case 2 would be different, also the shape of the slot 5 would be equally different.

Along the peripheral side surface 6 of the case 2 a groove 7 is provided, along which the slot 5 joints itself. The portion of the watchband with the slot 5 is in particular subject to an elastic deformation in order to consent both to the slot 5 to engage inside the groove 7 to which it conforms, and in order to be able to consent the disengagement of the slot 5 from the groove 7 itself.

Advantageously the slot 5 does not generate any further encumbrance by being on the contrary positioned in the slot 7 and being flush with the cylindrical generating lines of the case 2.

The slot 5 has an outlet 8 able to receive and handle the section of the regulating crown 9 of the watch 1.

The outlet 8, which defines a gap between the case 2 and the slot 5, is realized by extending a portion of the slot 5 beyond the diametral dimension of the case 2 in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the watchband 4.

The regulation crown 9 of the watch 1 protrudes than from the case 2 in the direction of the hands of the watch 1 indicating twelve hours or eighteen hours ,

The watchband 4 incorporates, along the periphery 24 of the outlet 8 of the slot 5, a stiffening core 11 able to stabilize the engagement configuration of the slot 5 around the case 2.

In particular, the core 11 prevents the accidental opening of the slot 5 by blocking the mutual removal of the two points 25 of the slot 5 from which the outlet 8 originates.

The slot 5 has at the points 5 from which the outlet 8 originates, a shoulder 12 for resting against the portion of the peripheral side surface 6 of the case 2 external from the groove 7 and also able on one hand to stabilize the engagement configuration of the slot 5 around the case 2, and on the other hand to give the correct direction to the watchband 4.

The watchband 4 has a buckle for joining a first 14 with a second adjacent edges 15 of the watchband .

The buckle has a metal plate 13 shaped with a first box-like portion 16 for retaining internally the first edge 14 of watchband 4 by means of a first pin 17 supported by the plate 13 inside the first box-like portion 16 and is inserted in a transversal hole 18 of the first edge of watchband 4, a second box-like portion 19 for retaining internally the second edge 15 of the watchband by means of a second pin 20 supported by the plate 13 inside the second box-like portion 19 and inserted in a transversal hole 21 of the second edge 15 of watchband 4.

The plate 13 has a first portion covering the internal side of both edges 14, 15, a second portion covering the external side of both edges 14, 15, a third portion covering the lateral side of the one edge of watchband 14 and a fourth portion covering the lateral side of the one edge of the watchband 15.

The first and second pin 17 and 20 extend from the third and fourth portion respectively of the plate 13.

The watchband 4 has a plurality of transversal holes 18, 21 separated by lines 22, 23 of facilitated cut for its customized cut.

The lines 22, 23 are more precisely transversal engravings affecting the internal side of the edges of watchband 14, 15.

Substantially in order to regulate the length of the watchband 4 the edges 14, 15 are shortened by cutting them along the suitable lines 22, 23. The buckle is initially associated to the first edge 14 by inserting the first pin 17 in the corresponding terminal hole 18, and subsequently also to the second edge 15 by inserting the second pin 17 in the corresponding terminal hole 18.

The held of the coupling of the buckle to the watchband 4 is guaranteed by the fact that, being the watchband 4 integrally made of an elastic material, the holes 18, 21 elastically engage with the pins 17, 20 on which they are inserted.

In the case shown the watchband 4 is made by a first arm, having the slot 5 integrally made of an elastic material, and a second arm being permanently bound to the case 2 and also made of an elastic material.

In possible variations of the invention, the watchband can have both arms removably bound to the case, or the watchband can have at least a first piece comprising the slot 5 removably engaging with the case 2, and one or more further customization pieces which can be associated to the first piece in order to complete the arms themselves of the watchband or to form new accessories .

For example the first piece of watchband can comprise two diametrally opposed openings ringed by a scarf passing underneath the case and defining the arms of the watchband.

As an alternative, the first piece can be so configured, that it engages with further elements in order to form an ornamental element for bags, belts, necklaces, etc.

The wristwatch so conceived is subject of several modifications and variations, all within the scope of the inventive concept; furthermore all details can be substituted by technically equivalent elements .

In practice the used materials, and also the dimensions, can be of any kind according to the needs and the state of the art.
