Abstract:
The mentioned invention relates to the production of the fender for the buses and similar vehicles which are produced in limited numbers; with a non - problematic, easy and economical method instead of the hand lay - up CTP fender cover that requires reprocessing after the dye house, that changes in terms of structural shape in time by the constant load, heat of the environment, humid and rain. The feader comprises a main plate (1), a hinge profile (2) and a aluminium profile (3).

1. A fender for buses or similar vehicles that are not manufactured as mass production; it comprises main plate (1) and aluminum profile (3) that adhered to main plate (D -

3. A fender according to anyone of the preceding claims; characterized in that the main profile (1) is cutted circularly and has not include sharp edge and side.

FENDER PRODUCTION WITH USAGE OF ALUMINUM EXTRUSION PROFILE

Field of invention

This invention relates to the production of fender by using an economical method for buses and similar vehicles that are produced in limited numbers.

Background of the invention

Present techniques those are used for fender production for buses and similar vehicles require expensive and high plate investigations. These techniques are as follows;

1. Although the investigation on the plates of hand lay - up CTP (glass wool reinforced Polyester) is significantly low, the structural shape of the piece changes in by the constant load, heat of the environment, humid and rain. Additionally, the maintaining, reconditioning or replacement processes after the coloring process cause high costs.

2. Plate investment for the products those are made of steel or aluminum sheets and produced with press plates is considerably high but unit cost is low. The general quality of the produced pieces is high. That is; there happens no difference or deformation in the in the measures of the pieces.

3. Although the sheet investment of the CTP that is obtained with SMC (Sheet Molding Compound) method is considerably high, advantage of unit cost and weight is provided. Yet no technical problems are experienced in the pieces those are produced with this technique.

Although the hand lay - up CTP fenders are produced considerably economically, very serious problems of measurement quality and measure deformation problems are experienced during the process.

Although the other options do not have any technical problems, the high investment costs of the models that are produced in limited numbers, forces the CTP fender usage.

Detailed description of the invention

With this invention, instead of the hand lay - up CTP fender which need to be reprocessed after the measurement quality and dye house, a solution method is developed which is easily producible, non problematic in terms of quality and considerably cheap.

The main plate (1) of the mentioned fender is made of sheet or aluminum panel. The circularly cut part shall aesthetically be clean - cut, shall not be oozed and shall not have sharp angles and edges. (Figure 1)

The aluminum profile that will be mounted here (3) are shaped as extrusions. It is curved in accordance with the circular line that determined in its non - thermal (before hardened) condition. Later, with hardening process, it was attached by using the attachment blanks on the main plate (1) . (Figure 1)

The fender is mounted to the side cover hinge (2) of the vehicle. Therefore, seamless side cover surface is completed. Plates are added to the inner side of the main plate (1) for fixation .
