Abstract:
Disclosed is a preparation method for ferric phosphate, comprising the following steps: mixing a surfactant with a first metal solution containing iron and phosphorus elements, adding a seed crystal, aging under heating and stirring, filtering, and drying and sintering obtained filter residue to obtain the ferric phosphate, wherein the seed crystal is ferric phosphate dihydrate or basic ammonium ferric phosphate. In the present invention, the seed crystal is modified by means of the surfactant to improve the activity of the surface of the seed crystal, and then Fe3+ and PO43- are induced to grow epitaxially on the surface of the seed crystal, thus generating secondary crystal nuclei, and inducing the formation of the basic skeleton of product particles. By means of the aging process, the deposition of crystal nuclei on the surface of the seed crystal makes the skeleton of the crystal particles more complete, so that the arrangement of primary particles is more compact and orderly, and tend towards forming spherical particles. The particle size D50 of the final obtained anhydrous ferric phosphate is 2 to 30 um, and the particles are controllable, easy to wash, less moisture, and easy to dry. The secondary particles have uniform morphology and high tap density, and are suitable for preparing high-pressure compacted lithium iron phosphate batteries.
