Abstract:
Provided is a fiber laser device with which it is possible to suppress deterioration of beam quality of laser light that is output, and to obtain stable beam quality. A fiber laser device 1 is provided with: an amplifying optical fiber 20 capable of amplifying laser light; an excitation light source 30, 40 capable of generating excitation light; an output optical fiber 60 comprising a core 601 for propagating the laser light amplified by the amplifying optical fiber 20, and a cladding 602 having a refraction index lower than a refraction index of the core 601 and covering a periphery of the core 601; and a delivery fiber 70 comprising a core 701 optically coupled to the core 601 of the output optical fiber 60, and a cladding 702 having a refraction index lower than a refraction index of the core 701 and covering a periphery of the core 701. The outer diameter of the cladding 702 of the delivery fiber 70 is greater than the outer diameter of the cladding 602 of the output optical fiber 60. The delivery fiber 70 extends from the inside of a housing unit 12 to the outside thereof.
