Abstract:
Provided are: a fiber-reinforced plastic molding material in which a continuous fiber sheet is easy to use and which includes, as a matrix resin, a crosslinkable thermoplastic resin composition having excellent heat resistance and mechanical strength; and a method for producing a molded object from the fiber-reinforced plastic molding material. The fiber-reinforced plastic molding material comprises a continuous fiber sheet and a matrix resin composition infiltrated thereinto, and is characterized in that the matrix resin composition comprises an aromatic polyester resin and a phenoxy resin and cures by thermal crosslinking between the two resins, the ratio of the content of the aromatic polyester resin to the content of the phenoxy resin, (aromatic polyester):(phenoxy resin), being within the range of 5:5 to 1:9 by weight.
