Abstract:
Provided is a fiberboard (1) with good strength, dimensional stability and moisture permeability and with which weight reduction is possible. The fiberboard (1) is obtained by gluing fibers with a granular adhesive. The fibers are configured from a mixture of main constituent fibers (2) and fine fibers (3). The mixing ratio for the main constituent fibers (2) to the fine fibers (3) is a weight ratio of 50:50 - 90:10. The main constituent fibers (2) are fibers formed from plant fibers and are fibers with an average fiber length of 5 mm to 100 mm and an average fiber diameter of 70 µm to 400 µm. The fine fibers (3) are fibers for which one or more kinds of plant fibers selected from hemp-derived natural fibers, coconut fibers and agricultural waste fibers have been fibrillated to an average fiber diameter in the range of 20 µm to less than 70 µm.
