Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a fibrous cellulose-containing product that does not cause discoloration when used as a resin reinforcing material, a production method for the fibrous cellulose-containing product, and a fibrous cellulose composite resin that does not suffer from discoloration. [Solution] A fibrous cellulose-containing product that has a moisture content of less than 18% and contains fibrous cellulose having an average fiber width of 0.1-19 µm in which some or all of the hydroxyl groups have been substituted with carbamate groups, and the carbamate group substitution rate is 1.0 mmol/g or higher. A production method for the fibrous cellulose-containing product, said method comprising a step in which a cellulose starting material and at least one of urea and a urea derivative is subjected to a heat treatment such that some or all of the hydroxyl groups in the cellulose are converted to carbamate groups, a step in which the cellulose starting material is fibrillated until the average fiber width is in the range of 0.1-19 µm, and a step in which the moisture content is adjusted to less than 18% to obtain the fibrous cellulose-containing product, wherein the heat treatment is carried out until the carbamate group substitution rate is 1.0 mmol/g or higher. A fibrous cellulose composite resin that contains the fibrous cellulose-containing product and a resin.
