Abstract:
This invention provides a film for dental impression, which can realize joining of two types of dental impression materials, different from each other in material, to each other which has been unthinkable in conventional combined impression, and a process for producing the film for dental impression. The film for dental impression is formed of a polyethylene film and a polyethylene/polyester film. A polyethylene/polyester film, which can bond a silicone impression material to an alginate impression material, is stacked by heat bonding onto both sides of the polyethylene film. The interposition of the film for dental impression, which can bond the silicone impression material to the alginate impression material, can realize joining between the silicone impression material and the alginate impression material. Accordingly, there is no need to time curing of each of the impression materials nicely, and, thus, accurate impression can be provided at low coat using a small amount of the silicone impression material.
