Abstract:
[Problem] To provide an optical film which has, as a surface layer, a cured film that has excellent liquid crystal aligning properties and excellent adhesion; to provide an aligning material; and to provide a retardation material which uses the aligning material.
[Solution] An optical film which is characterized in that a cured film is formed, on an acrylic film, from a cured film-forming composition that is characterized by containing (A) at least one substance that is selected from the group consisting of compounds having an optical alignment group and polymers having an optical alignment group and (B) a polymer that has a unit structure represented by formula (X) (wherein R1 represents a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, and R2 represents a linear or branched alkyl group having 1-5 carbon atoms); a liquid crystal aligning material which is produced using the optical film; and a retardation material which is produced using the optical film.
