Abstract:
Disclosed is a film-like soap which contains a soap base or a soap component in a large quantity and has excellent solubility in water, drought resistance and anti-blocking property. A sheet- or film-like soap can be produced by mixing (a) at least one member selected from the group consisting of hydroxypropylmethylcellulose, methylcellulose, hydroxypropylcellulose, hydroxyethylcellulose and hydroxyethylmethylcellulose with (b) at least one member selected from the group consisting of etherified high-amylose starch, esterified high-amylose starch and crosslinked starch to produce a film-forming material (A), mixing the film-forming material (A) with a plasticizer (B) and a soap base (C), and molding the resulting mixture into a sheet- or film-like shape. The soap contains a soap base or a soap component in a large quantity, is free from lumps, and is excellent in solubility in water, drought resistance and anti-blocking property.
