Abstract:
A sterilizing filter is equipped with a synthetic polymer membrane (34A or 34B) which has a surface having, formed thereon, multiple first protrusions (34Ap or 34Bp) each having a two-dimensional size of 20 nm to 500 μm exclusive as observed in the normal direction, wherein the synthetic polymer membrane (34A or 34B) is arranged so as to have a predetermined shape, the tilt of the normal line on the above-mentioned surface varies in accordance with the position of the normal line on the above-mentioned surface and the tilt of the normal line on a surface opposed to the above-mentioned surface varies in accordance with the position of the normal line on the surface opposed to the above-mentioned surface in the arrangement of the synthetic polymer membrane (34A or 34B) in the predetermined shape, and at least a part of the above-mentioned surface is so configured as to be in contact with a gas or a liquid.
