Abstract:

An improvment in the construction of a filter plate of a filter press. The filter plate (2) is composed of a frame (1), a planar filtrate discharge guide means (3, 41, 52) disposed within the frame (1), and a support means (5, 5d, 40, 48, 53) for retaining the filtrate discharge guide means (3, 41, 52) so that said guide means (3, 41, 52) can be freely moved within the frame (1). Because of this free movability, the breakage of said guide means (3, 41, 52) can be prevented even when a large difference in filtration pressure occurs between the both surfaces of said guide means (3, 41, 52) of the filter plate (2) during the filtration of a fluid.
