Abstract:
The invention relates to the technology of manufacturing membranes for micro, ultra and nanofiltration and can be used in medicine, biology, and in the chemical and food industries in processes for removing or concentrating dispersed particles in liquids and gases. The proposed filter unit for micro- and ultrafiltration comprises a coarsely porous substrate (1) and a finely porous membrane (2) applied to the former and in the form of a baked fibrous shell (3) and a non-fibrous matrix (4). The shell (3) of the membrane (2) can include a surface film (5). The proposed method of manufacturing this filter unit is characterized by the fact that inorganic fibres and non-fibrous components are used for the membrane (2), a layer of inorganic fibres being first applied to the surface of the substrate (1) before being impregnated with a solution containing compounds which are converted by heat treatment to the non-fibrous component.
