Abstract:
A filtration device according to one aspect of the present disclosure is provided with: a plurality of filtration modules, each of which includes a plurality of hollow membranes bundled in the vertical direction and a pair of retaining members having retaining regions for securing the upper and lower ends of the plurality of hollow membranes; a support body that retains the plurality of filtration modules in a row so that the plurality of filtration modules are parallel to each other and disposed at equal intervals; and one or a plurality of air supply modules that supply air bubbles from below the plurality of filtration modules, wherein: the main component of the plurality of hollow membranes is polytetrafluoroethylene; and the value of (C2-A2)0.5/2B is 10-20, where A is the average interval between the pair of retaining members in the plurality of filtration modules, B is the average interval between the retaining regions of the plurality of hollow membranes in the filtration modules that are adjacent to each other, and C is the average effective length when the plurality of hollow membranes exposed between the pair of retaining members are moist.
