Abstract:
A filtration assembly (1) for filtering polymer fluids at varying flow rates includes at least two filter housing assemblies (40, 40') releasably attached to a filter support or main block (10). Polymer fluid is delivered to the filter housing assemblies (40, 40') via an inlet passage (20) in the main block (10), and filtered polymer fluid is transported from the filter housing assemblies (40, 40') to an outlet passage (22) in the main block (10). One end of each filter housing assembly (40, 40') is attached to the main block (10) and includes an inlet port (50) for receiving polymer fluid from the inlet passage (20) and an outlet port (52) for delivering filtered polymer fluid to the outlet passage (22). A single valve (80) disposed on the main block (10) selectively alternates fluid flow between the main block (10) and each filter housing assembly (40, 40').
