Abstract:

A fingerprint recognition method and an electronic apparatus (100), wherein the method comprises: collecting a fingerprint image to be compared, extracting a plurality of feature points, acting as image feature points, of the fingerprint image to be compared, and calculating a plurality of descriptive values corresponding to each image feature point (S11); calculating a retrieval value of each image feature point (S12); performing fingerprint comparison on the fingerprint image to be compared and a template image (S13), this involving firstly comparing whether the retrieval value of an image feature point conforms to a retrieval value of a template feature point, and if so, then proceeding to compare whether the descriptive values of the image feature point conform to descriptive values of the template feature point so as to determine whether the image feature point matches the template feature point; if not, determining that the image feature point does not match the template feature point, and comparing the image feature point of the fingerprint image to be compared and the next template feature point; and counting the number of times matching occurs between the image feature points and the template feature points so as to determine whether the fingerprint image to be compared matches the template image (S14). The method can improve fingerprint comparison speed.
