Abstract:
The present invention relates to a fire-extinguishing system which is applied to an electric vehicle battery pack in order to, when a fire occurs in an electric vehicle battery unit in which a plurality of lithium ion batteries are integrated, effectively extinguishing the fire in an early stage, thereby minimizing material and human damage. The fire-extinguishing system of the present invention comprises: a sensor unit (200) which is provided in an energy storage module (ESS) (400) of an electric vehicle to sense battery environment information of the ESS (400); a fire-extinguishing unit (100) for spraying the ESS (400) with a fire-extinguishing agent; and a control unit (300) which controls a fire-extinguishing operation of the fire-extinguishing unit (100) on the basis of the battery environment information sensed by the sensor unit (200).
