Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to the field of resin materials, specifically to a flame retardant and the use thereof, and a fire-resistant epoxy resin. The flame retardant comprises a compound with a general formula as shown in formula I, wherein R1 and R2 are each independently selected from at least one of an optionally substituted C1-6 alkyl or an optionally substituted phenyl, and R3 and R4 are each independently selected from a C2-10 alkyl substituted by a modification group which is selected from at least one of an epoxy group, a hydroxyl group, an alkoxy group, a halogen, or an eugenol group.
