Abstract:
A flameproof woven or knitted fabric to which deodorant function is imparted without impairing the flameproofness. Such a fabric is produced by applying a deodorant composition comprising an aluminosilicate comprising 5 to 80 mole % of SiO2, 5 to 65 mole % of MOn/2 (wherein M is at least one metal selected from among zinc, copper, silver, cobalt, nickel, iron, titatium, barium, tin and zirconium; and n is the valency of the metal) and 1 to 60 mole % of Al2O3 and a binder to the surface of a woven or knitted fabric made of modacrylic fiber, a woven or knitted blended-yarn or union fabric made of modacrylic fiber and cellulosic fiber, a woven or knitted blended-yarn or union fabric made of modacrylic fiber and polyester fiber or the like in a coating weight of 1 g/m2 or above in terms of the aluminosilicate.
