Abstract:

Disclosed is a flat battery wherein a gasket is formed by molding so as to extend from an opening end portion to a flat portion of a sealing can and the gasket is prevented from being separated from the inner surface of the sealing can. Specifically disclosed is a flat battery (1) which is configured to comprise: a bottomed cylindrical anode can (10) (a package can); a cathode can (20) (a sealing can) that has a circumferential wall portion (22) (a cylinder portion) and a flat portion (21) and is arranged in the form of an inverted dish with respect to the anode can (10); and a gasket (30) that is formed by molding at least on the inner side of the cathode can (20) from the opening end portion of the circumferential wall portion (22) to the flat portion (21). The opening end portion of the side wall of the anode can (10) is fitted to a step portion (22c) of the cathode can (20). The thickness of the gasket (30) on the inner side of the cathode can at the opening end portion of the circumferential wall portion (22) of the cathode can (20) is smaller than the thickness of the gasket (30) on the inner side of the cathode can at the step portion (22c) of the cathode can (20).
