Abstract:
Provided is a flat battery in which the battery capacity can be increased by enlarging the internal volume while ensuring excellent sealability. A flat battery 1 has an external can 2, a sealing can 3, and a gasket 5. The external can 2 has a bottom part 21 and a cylindrical lateral wall part 22. The sealing can 3 has a top surface part 31 and a circumferential wall part 32. The circumferential wall part 32 has: a base end portion 32a on the top surface part 31 side; a cylindrical portion 32b that is formed to have an outer diameter larger than that of the base end portion 32a and that has a leading end opposite to the bottom part 21 of the external can 2; and a stepped portion 32c located between the base end portion 32a and the cylindrical portion 32b. The cylindrical portion is inclined radially outward from the end on the stepped portion side toward the leading end of the cylindrical portion and has an inclination angle of 0.5-4° with respect to the axial direction. The base end portion is inclined radially inward from the end on the top surface part side toward the end on the stepped portion side and has an inclination angle of 0.5-5° with respect to the axial direction.
