Abstract:
A flat cable having a circuit protection function and a method. The flat cable having a circuit protection function can be realized by means of punching, etching or laser engraving process technology, and comprises a plurality of flat wires and an insulating coating member. The plurality of flat wires are configured to extend parallel to each other and are spaced apart by a predetermined distance; each flat wire comprises at least one circuit protection structure; the at least one circuit protection structure comprises two circuit conduction portions, a circuit protection portion provided between the two circuit conduction portions, and two circuit connecting portions for connecting the circuit conduction portions to the circuit protection portion; the circuit conduction portions have a first line width, the circuit protection portion has a second line width, and the first line width is greater than the second line width. The plurality of flat wires are provided in the insulating coating member, and the insulating coating member covers circuit protection structures of the plurality of flat wires. The position of a circuit protection portion of each flat wire and the position of a circuit protection portion of an adjacent flat wire are staggered with each other in a direction orthogonal to the extension direction of the flat wire.
