Abstract:
The invention relates to a flat key for a cylinder lock whose shaft comprises a longitudinal profile with longitudinal grooves and/or longitudinal ribs on both flat sides. The longitudinal profile of the tip section (tip profile) of the shaft is different from the longitudinal profile of the shaft section (shaft profile). The shaft on the key bit has at least one key notch for controlling a tumbler pin. The tip profile is narrower than the shaft profile such that the contour of the tip profile is situated inside the contour of the shaft profile. The invention is characterized in that the at least one key notch (5') on the key bit is arranged in the tip section (4).
