Abstract:
A packaged terminal air conditioner unit (10) and a filter assembly (100) for a make-up air module (90) are provided. The packaged terminal air conditioner unit (10), comprising: a bulkhead (46) defining an indoor portion (12) and an outdoor portion (14); a vent aperture (80) defined in the bulkhead (46); an auxiliary fan (92) positioned proximate the vent aperture (80) and being configured for urging a flow of make-up air from the outdoor portion (14) through the vent aperture (80) to the indoor portion (12); and a filter cage (120) positioned adjacent the auxiliary fan (92) and being configured for receiving an air filter (104), the filter cage (120) comprising: a first frame portion (122); a second frame portion (124) spaced apart from the first frame portion (122) to define a frame cavity (126) there between; and a flexible bridge (150) extending between and flexibly connecting the first frame portion (122) and the second frame portion (124). The filter cage or housing that facilities quick and easy replacement of the air filter in the packaged terminal air conditioner unit would be particularly beneficial.
