Abstract:
A flexible joint main body (1) is formed that comprises a stainless steel pipe (2) having a bellows portion (3) at an intermediate portion therealong and straight pipe portions (4, 5) at ends thereof. A sleeve (7) is mounted on an outer circumferential surface of the straight pipe portion (4), and a cap nut (9) is loosely fitted over this sleeve (7) via a lock wire (8). A sleeve (11) is mounted on an outer circumferential surface of the straight pipe portion (5), and a stainless steel pipe (10) that is to be brought into abutment with this sleeve (11) is welded to the sleeve (11) or a threaded portion (20) is formed in the outer circumferential surface of the sleeve (11) so that another component is connected to this threaded portion (20) via a coupler or the like.
