A flexible support layer (160) and a flexible display device. The flexible support layer (160) comprises at least two non-bending areas (20) and at least one bending area (10) connecting two adjacent non-bending areas (20). Each bending area (10) comprises a fixed area (1) and a pattern area (2) located between the fixed area (1) and the corresponding non-bending area (20). A support strip (5) is provided on one side of the pattern area (2).
