Abstract:
The present invention pertains to: a flexible tube for an endoscope, said tube having a flexible cylindrical base material that is flexible, and a cover layer that covers the outer circumference of the flexible base material, wherein the cover layer includes a polyester chain extension that has a naphthalene structure, and the chain extension includes a constituent component derived from a polyester having a naphthalene structure, and a constituent component derived from at least one type of chain extender from among (A) epoxy compounds, (B) isocyanate compounds, (C) amine compounds, (D) oxazoline compounds, (E) carbodiimide compounds having a molecular weight of less than 3000, and (F) carboxylic acid anhydrides; an endoscope-type medical device that uses said flexible tube; and methods for manufacturing the flexible tube for an endoscope and the endoscope-type medical device.
