Abstract:
Provided is a flood-protection-plate device that increases both the reliability of the operation of a flood-protection plate and the degree of freedom available in controlling said flood-protection plate. Said flood-protection-plate device is provided with the following: a flood-protection plate (17) formed so as to be able to rise from a road surface and hold back water; a trough-like flood-protection-plate-containing pit (14) formed so as to be able to contain the flood-protection plate; a trough-like water-collection pit (13) formed such that water can flow into said water-collection pit during flooding; a water-collection bucket (16) which is a container that is disposed inside the water-collection pit, stores water that has flowed into the water-collection pit, and is formed so as to be able to descend within the water-collection pit; and a transmission mechanism (31) that couples the flood-protection plate to the water-collection bucket and converts the force produced by the descending water-collection bucket into a force that raises the flood-protection plate. The transmission mechanism is provided with a flood-protection-plate ascent-prohibition means (41, 43c) and a switching means (44) that switches between a state in which the flood-protection plate is prohibited from rising and a state in which the flood-protection plate is allowed to rise.
