Abstract:
Provided is a fluid control device which prevents fluid leakage from an inlet chamber to an outlet chamber and also exhibits better control responsiveness. A normally-closed type fluid control device (1) comprises a housing (101) including an inlet chamber (123) and an outlet chamber (122) divided by a housing land section (101B) extending radially inwards, a spool (102) disposed in the housing (101) and including a spool land section (102B) formed thereon so as to extend radially outwards and so as to be slidable back and forth on the housing land section (101B), and a biasing means (106) for biasing the spool (102) towards a valve closing position, wherein the spool (102) is displaced by an externally applied actuation force against the biasing force of the biasing means (106) so as to put the inlet chamber (123) in communication with the outlet chamber (122), the spool (102) includes an enlarged section (131) positioned in the inlet chamber (123) and having a larger diameter than that of the spool land section (102B), and the enlarged section (131) and the housing land section (101B) define a poppet valve configuration (130).
