Abstract:
Provided are a fluid leakage detection system and method for various types of marine hose, which are capable of accurately detecting whether there is fluid leakage from various types of marine hose. A conductive rubber or conductive paste of which an electric resistance value varies over a reference by being impregnated with a fluid L is adopted as a detection element 15 which forms a loop circuit 17 connected to a passive IC tag 11,,, and is continuously extended in a longitudinal direction of a hose main body between an internal layer 3 and a first reinforcement layer 4. An IC tag 11 is disposed on the surface of a marine hose 1. Electric resistance value data Dr in the loop circuit 17 when a transmission radiowave R1 transmitted from a communication apparatus 19 starts the IC tag 11 is transmitted to the communication apparatus 19 by means of a return radiowave R2 transmitted from the IC tag 11 in response to the transmission radiowave R1, and is input to a calculation device 20. Whether there is leakage of the fluid L is determined on the basis of the magnitude of the difference between the electric resistance value data Dr and a reference resistance value data Dc.
